Environmental Survey and Assessment
Deforestation, land degradation, atmospheric pollution, depletion of water resources and climate change are some of the detrimental factors facing the natural environment at a global scale. These factors also have a profound effect on the Asian Elephant .
To address these concerns at local and national levels, ANCF carries out inter-disciplinary research projects that assess the effects of anthropogenic pressures on the biosphere. The foundation is involved in developing and implementing or assisting in the implementation of projects aimed at conservation and sustainable management of natural and environmental resources. It also keenly encourages the education and participation of stakeholders such as village communities, forest departments and NGOs in the conservation of their local environment.
