Preparation of Perspective Plans for Elephant Reserves in Orissa

ANCF was commissioned by the Orissa Forest Department to develop a comprehensive status report and perspective plan for four elephant reserves based on guidelines provided by them. The four elephant reserves are South Orissa ER, Baitarni ER, Sambalpur ER and Mahanadi ER. Insights from these plans were used to provide insights for the overall status of these reserves as well as to list conservation priorities/recommendations that provide management targets for a ten year period.
